Snow Day Surprise

What a change from last week! The girls arrived to find everything blanketed in snow, and we circled up to read our letter from Finny. She wondered if one of us might have accidentally made a “snow potion” last week—it sure looked like it!

Snow Creatures and Sled Rides

We headed over to Dandelion Hill for sledding, snowman building, and all kinds of creative snow play. What started as a snowman soon became a dog, a cupcake, and even a caterpillar. One girl built a jump for the sleds, and there was so much teamwork as everyone helped roll giant snowballs and gathered materials for their snow creatures.

Cozy Dome and Backyard Adventures

Snack time in the dome turned into a little crafting session, with some girls making necklaces and others trying their hand at sewing. Then it was back outside for more free play. We built a fire, roasted hot dogs, and the mud kitchen quickly came back to life, this time filled with snow “recipes.” Some of the girls cozied up in the dome with me for a story while others sledded down the backyard hills.

Wildlife Wonders

A couple of lucky girls were outside at just the right time to spot two bald eagles flying behind the house. We could even hear their calls—such an amazing sight! The rest of the afternoon was spent making cedar tea over the fire and lavishing plenty of love on the dogs.

Who knows what kind of weather we’ll have next week, but we’ll be ready for whatever comes our way.

Thanks for a great day, Wildflowers!
