Seedlings: May 13th

We were ready for rain, but were greeted by a bright and beautiful morning instead!

The day began with dirt play and a little time in the hammock, but the real magic started when I brought out colorful water for the mud kitchen.

Measuring, pouring, mixing, negotiating, imagining—this turned into a full-on sensory and social experience that lasted over an hour! The creativity and collaboration were incredible to witness (and photograph!).

After a snack break, we wrote letters and drew pictures for our forest friend, Finny the Fairy, and delivered them to her magic mailbox. ✉️🧚 We’re all eager to see what she sends back!

In the afternoon, the forecast caught up with us and the rain came pouring down—but that didn’t stop us! We suited up and headed to the Flats where we:
🦆 spotted ducks
🐟 found a (very dead) fish
🪨 hopped from rock to rock to visit a few little “islands”

Wet, wild, and full of wonder—just how we like it.

Thanks for a lovely day, Seedlings!
